The First Impression of Apalus Brush Hair Straightener
The images of the Apalus hairbrush straightener had already amazed me. However, when I received the product and unwrapped it, I was astonished. The design and shape of the Apalus digital hair brush straightener are just like those of a regular hairbrush.
The color that I chose was light pink.
There was also a blue-black shade that was available, but I mostly stay away from these two hues.
In the first look, I found the hairbrush pretty elegant and appealing. There were few yet essential control buttons on the handle and a small LED on its back. Thus, there was no clutter due to unwanted buttons and features. Other than the Apalus hair brush, I found a carry pouch and an instruction manual/temperature guide in the box.
Time to Switch my Apalus Brush Hair Straightener On
Okay! Before I tell you about the performance of the Apalus hairbrush straightener, let me say a couple of words about my “post-brush-switching-on” experience.
First, the buttons have been strategically placed on the handle of the brush, which, by the way, I found a little bit bulky. The strategic placement ensures that you don’t press them accidentally while straightening your hair. There is one power button for switching the Apalus brush hair straightener ON and OFF. There is one button with a “+” sign and one more with a “-“ sign on the handle. Both of them help in controlling the temperature of the brush.
The brush can go maximum up to 450°F (or 230°C). The LED screen placed on the back of the handle lets you see the temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius unit.
Let’s Talk “Straight” Forward
Here comes the fun part in this Apalus brush hair straightener review. The brush heated up in a couple of minutes. But while it was heating up, I was going through the temperature setting guide that came in the box. It mentioned customized settings for different hair types. I chose to stick with the one that asked the users to keep the temperature at 410° F in case they have natural texture hair. Also, the best part about the brush is that you can use it on both dry and wet hair. I chose to do it on dry. Though the heating time was fast, the pathetic plastic burning smell that the bristles released was disgusting.

I found the hair brush convenient as it was light in weight. Adding to the convenience was the long 360° anti-winding and rotatable cable that allowed me to wobble here and there a little bit.
The brush is made of top-notch high-temperature engineering material and the same eliminated any need to wear gloves or a protective glove on a hand. Also, the Apalus hair brush boasts of anti-scald technology-enabled bristles and inner. This fact ensures that even when the brush touches your scalp, neck or shoulder, it doesn’t burn or pain.
The Apalus claims that you can even use the brush to undertake a message. I never tried the massage feature though!
It’s Necessary to Know the “POWERful” Features Too
Not mentioning about the power features of the brush in the Apalus hair straightener brush review would be an injustice to it. The brush has a dual-voltage operation support, and it consumes somewhere between 110V to 240V of energy to heat up. It has a US safety plug, but you can carry it with you overseas as well.
It is interesting to note that apart from the main switch to switch ON the brush, there is also a red power button on the safety plug itself, thus, offering you protection against leakage and short circuit.
And girls, please do not worry about any extra electricity consumption as the brush also has an auto-shutoff protection which helps if it is not used for 60 minutes.
